ABOUT THIS FLOOR SPRING

The BTS80 EN4 Floor Spring System – Non Hold Open (NHO) is a concealed floor mounted door closer system designed for medium to heavy duty pivot doors.

This system is installed below floor level, providing a clean architectural finish while delivering smooth and controlled door movement.

The Dormakaba BTS80 system is designed for a wide range of door applications and is capable of handling large doors up to 1400mm wide and up to ±300kg, depending on configuration.

This EN4 version is ideal for standard commercial entrances and medium-to-heavy aluminium or glass doors.

This unit is supplied as a complete system, including floor spring and pivot hardware.

HOLD OPEN OR NON HOLD OPEN

This product is the Non Hold Open (NHO) version.

Hold Open (HO)
Allows the door to remain open at approximately 90°.
Common in retail and public entrances.

Non Hold Open (NHO)
The door always returns to the closed position automatically.
Typically required for fire-rated and controlled access doors.

Floor springs are selected based on door weight and size:

Up to 100kg → BTS75 / QS860
100–150kg → QS880 / QS895
150–200kg → QS899V
200kg+ → BTS80 EN4 / EN6

👉 EN4 = standard heavy duty
👉 EN6 = extreme heavy duty


INSTALLATION INFORMATION

This system is installed:

• Inside the floor (cement box)
• With top and bottom pivot points

Requires:

• Floor pocket preparation
• Accurate door alignment
• Correct spindle positioning
