Welcome to the Stickman Insulation Estimator

Built for everyone… especially Mrs Jones.

In around 2 minutes, we’ll help you choose the right insulation, compare three leading South African brands, and if you’re building new, you could even save thousands with The Stickman’s SANS 10400-XA Rational Design Service.

What we price here
Rigid insulation boards in XPS and PIR: IsoBoard and Summit XPS (extruded polystyrene), and Lambdaboard (PIR). For ceilings, roofs, walls and floors.
BETA v2.0.1: We’re still improving the estimator, so you may notice changes over time. Quotations and orders work as normal, and prices are unlikely to change.

Where’s it going?
Tell Stickman who is using the estimator. We will change the detail, not the price.
Where is the insulation going?
One tap. It decides which boards suit the job, so we quote the right thing.
Site measurements
How much of it are we covering?
Cutting / wastage allowance
Do you want to add a wastage percentage, so you don’t run short of boards?
Boards get cut to fit, and offcuts are rarely reusable. A small allowance now is cheaper than a second delivery later.
Perfect rectangles are very cooperative. Buildings occasionally are not.
Every option costs the same, so choose with your eyes.
Module, groove centres and joint type show under each option. Boards are 600mm wide unless noted; the 1220mm option is square edge.
The face pattern never moves the rate — only a factory colour does.
Board width, thickness range and any colour rate show under each option. Rates are list; final pricing lands on the quote.
The look you choose does not change the board rate
Smooth faces, narrow grooves and wide grooves are priced at the same board rate per m². Only a factory colour can change the rate on this page. Choose the appearance you actually want; the calculator has nothing dramatic to reveal here.
Which boards should we price?
What’s the difference between these boards?
Estimate only. Prices are subject to supplier changes and confirmation for this application. Request your quote to lock in current pricing — stock availability is confirmed before any order.
