Price It In Ten Seconds
Three calculators, each on its own. One prices a square metre, one prices a board, and the last adds up your order.
Price per square metre
All three boards priced side by side — what a square metre costs, and what R-value you get for it.
Want the number for your actual roof?
This page prices a square metre. The Ceiling Estimator prices your project — your rooms, your lengths, the boards you will really need, with the waste and the offcuts worked in.
Price per board
All three suppliers on one table, VAT included. Set the thickness and the job size here — this calculator works on its own.
Add up your boards
Pick a board, a length and how many you want. Add as many lines as you like. Follows the job size set in Calculator 2.
Boards are one line on the invoice.
Battens, adhesive, trapdoors, the waste you will cut off and the lengths that actually suit your truss spacing all move the real figure. The Ceiling Estimator takes care of the lot.
Prices. Per square metre and per board, VAT included unless marked otherwise, built from the current supplier lists. A guide for budgeting — confirm the final figure with us before you order.
R-values. Each manufacturer publishes on its own test basis, so the three figures are close but not strictly like-for-like. ISOboard is on its tested conductivity of 0,02624 W/m·K (SANS 8301); Lambdaboard is on an aged ASTM C518 basis; Summit is published in its catalogue on a conductivity of 0,03 W/m·K, with the basis not stated. Summit has not published R-values for 60mm and 100mm — the figures marked † are worked out on the same conductivity as the ones it does publish. R-value is the board on its own, not the finished ceiling or roof assembly.
Thicknesses. Some thicknesses are supplied as two boards rather than one — noted on the card where that applies. Summit does not make 25mm, 70mm or 90mm.
